Whitney Douthett Masters

Whitney is a seasoned lacrosse professional with a distinguished playing career spanning high school, collegiate, and international levels. Hailing from Newtown, Pennsylvania, she began her athletic journey at The Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey, where she excelled as a three-sport captain in lacrosse, basketball, and soccer. 

At Dartmouth College, Whitney went onto play varsity lacrosse and soccer during her 4 years. She established herself as one of the lacrosse program's all-time greats, setting the career record for assists with 98—a record that still stands today. She was named All-Ivy and All-American during her sophomore, junior and senior years.  Her leadership and playmaking abilities were instrumental in Dartmouth's success, including a memorable run to the NCAA Championship game in 2006, where she earned a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament Team.  Whitney captained both the soccer and lacrosse teams her senior year.

Following her collegiate success, Whitney was a member of the US Women’s National Lacrosse program for several years. She was selected to represent the U.S. at the 2009 FIL World Cup in Prague where she was a key contributor to the team's gold medal victory, marking the U.S.'s sixth World Cup title.

Professionally, Whitney spent close to 20 years within the financial services industry. Additionally, Whitney coached several club teams within the Tenacity Club program in San Francisco, CA and was the assistant varsity coach for St. Ignatious Prep.

Now based in Austin, Texas, with her husband and three young sons, Whitney is dedicated to developing the next generation of lacrosse players. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes fundamentals, hard work, teamwork, and a deep love for the game and sport. With her extensive experience and passion for lacrosse, she aims to inspire young athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the field.
